[texts]SURFACE MODIFICATION OF AN ACRYLATE-BASED SHAPE MEMORY POLYMER TO PROMOTE ADSORPTION TO BIOMARKERS OF EOSINOPHILIC ESOPHAGITIS - Shah, Roopali Rajendra
The surface of an acrylate-based shape memory polymer ("SMP") was modified to capture cationic biomarkers of eosinophilic esophagitis ("EoE") to establish a better diagnostic and monitoring system of this disease. Incorporation of a negative charge into the SMP allows for specific adsorption of the cationic biomarkers with additional leverage from the shape memory effect to position the polymer near the lumen wall of the esophagus...

[texts]The theory of coupled circuits (Volume Bulletin of the Bureau of Standards, Vol. 5, 511-541 (1909) Scientific Paper 112 (S112)) - Cohen, L.
The author obtains a complete solution of the problem of coupled circuits-direct-coupled circuits as well as those coupled electromagnetically-by a method which avoids the difficulty of getting the roots of a biquadratic equation. Both cases are fully worked out. The paper is altogether mathematical and cannot be abstracted.

[movies]Bio Logic: The Synthetic Frontier - Daniel Weisberg and Phillip Gara
Introduction: The film looks into synthetic biology as a new paradigm for biological research and innovation within the superstructure of evolving biotechnology. The film explains the scientific principles of synthetic biology and considers how 'open source biology' conjures some of the fundamental ethical, philosophical, security, and social changes of the 21st century. As biologists become engineers creating artificial living machines, will industry embrace decentralized forms of scientific in...
